Acquisition Advisor IV (Multiple Positions)

Job Title Acquisition Advisor IV (Multiple Positions)
Position Full Time W2 in Northern VA (Contingent)
Functional Responsibility Position Description/Tasks to be Performed:

Acquisition Advisor provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.  Has domain and expert technical knowledge.  Provides expert level advice and analysis to the Government; improving management, control, and execution of key activities and efforts.  Interactions involve customer negotiations and interfacing with senior management.  Advice, analysis, and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.

  • Acquisition and Engineering Support Services (AESS) Task Order Project Manager for the PMW 240 Product Development Group (PDG)
  • Organizes, directs, and manages AESS contractor support functions involving multiple, complex, inter-related project tasks and skill disciplines
  • Develops and enforces AESS work standards
  • Develops, monitors, tracks, and ensures conformance with program task plans, schedules, costs, and deliverable items
  • Facilitates and coordinates PDG team activities across multiple locations
  •  Interfaces at senior levels of the customer organization
  • Provides quality assurance, communicates goals, objectives, and policies
  • Advises senior level program personnel on the full range of program management office challenges, opportunities, and issues
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures and recommends process improvements.
  • Expertise in analyzing program requirements to recommend program initiation approaches/strategies and acquisition program structures from small, highly tailored AAPs to ACAT IA programs
  • Develops recommendations to improve acquisition related laws, policies, and regulations

Minimum Experience – At least 15 years of progressively more responsibility and experience directing and managing professional services programs and supporting DoD/DON acquisition programs. This experience must include one or more technology areas including, strategic planning, concept development and requirements analysis, systems design, engineering and integration, test and evaluation, and integrated logistics support, as well as demonstrate program management, acquisition and life cycle management experience. An additional five years of this experience is required if the individual only possesses a Bachelor’s Degree as described below.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Minimum Education Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited program with at least 15 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited program with at least 20 years of experience.
