Job Title Acquisition Engineer IV (Multiple Positions)
Position Full Time W2 in Northern VA (Contingent)
Minimum/General Experience At least 15 years of practical experience in systems engineering supporting DoD/DON programs. If the individual only possesses a Bachelor’s Degree, at least 20 years of practical experience in systems engineering supporting DoD/DON programs.
Functional Responsibility Position Description/Tasks to be Performed:

Acquisition Engineer IV provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Provides expert level advices and analysis to the Government; improving management, control, and execution of key activities and efforts. Interactions involve customer negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Advice, analysis, and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.

  • Provide engineering support to the PMW 240 Product Development Group (PDG)
  • Reviews requirements to draft recommended performance work statements, CDRLs, and other technical artifacts supporting contracting
  • Creates documentation to support program kick-off and initiation
  • Analyzes alternative material solutions with respect to defined requirements to determine effectiveness, risk, and requirement satisfaction
  • Provides independent engineering assessments in support of the full range of PMW 240 programs and projects, as needed
  • Recommends technical metrics and measures to facilitate the systems engineering and management of programs in development
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures and recommends process improvements

Other Requirements:

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Minimum Education Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited program with at least 15 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited program with at least 20 years of experience.
