Informatica OBIEE Developer

Job Title Informatica OBIEE Developer
Position Full Time W2 in Washington, DC
Minimum/General Experience 3-6 years minimum
Functional Responsibility Position Description/Tasks to be Performed:

The Informatica OBIEE Administrator and Developer is responsible for development of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards in support of our customer. ***Please note, the candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. The terms of the work requires the candidate to be either a US Citizen or a Green Card holder who has lived in the US for 3 years or longer.

  • Design and Implement the ETL Informatica and Oracle Business Intelligence architecture for the Agency
  • Configure Informatica 9.6.1 and Oracle Business Intelligence 11.1.1.7.0 with Oracle database to store the repository, metadata information and the agency data
  • Create Data Warehouse Dimensional Model as the BI solution
  • Develop complex ETL Informatica Mappings for the Organization using various transformations available in Informatica like Expression, Lookup, Router, Joiner, Sequence Generator, Sorter, Filter, Aggregator and Update Strategy transformations for populating the target tables in the data warehouse
  • Implement Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type-1 and SCD Type-2) according to the Business requirements to capture the changes while maintaining the historic information
  • Extract data from various sources such as Siebel CRM (Oracle), flat files and transfer data to the target data warehouse Oracle 11g
  • Troubleshoot performance issues in the mappings and optimize performance by tuning the Informatica mappings
  • Work with session logs, Informatica Debugger, and Performance logs for error handling to fix workflows and session failures
  • In-depth understanding of RPD configuration, Load balancing & Security model
  • Configure Logical Layer, Logical tables/dimensions, columns, Logical Joins/keys, set levels to support Drill-down, Aggregation, Level based hierarchies and Parent-child hierarchies
  • Manage security privileges for each subject area and dashboards according to user requirements
  • Develop various kinds of reports pivots, charts, tabular using global and local filters
  • Work closely with end users to design reports & dashboards, suggesting better ways of reporting in OBIEE so that required information is visualized by end users
  • Develop Reports/Dashboards with different Analytics views (Pivot table, Chart, Column Selector, with global and local filters) using Oracle BI Presentation services
  • Provide post implementation support and necessary fixes for the user identified issues
  • Other duties required

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience developing solutions in an OBIEE 10/11G environment including Informatica PowerCenter (8.x/9.x)
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle 11G databases, Oracle Data Warehouse and Data Marts to support Business Intelligence
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience with OBIEE 11g presentation layer dashboards and analyses development.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated hands-on development experience with OBIEE 11g Repository development.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on development experience with SQL and PL/SQL
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Dimensional Modeling
  • 3-5 years of development experience with TOAD (SQL querying tool)
  • 3+ years for ETL Informatica Development Experience
  • 3+ years of Oracle OBIA/OBIEE application experience including implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and report development
  • Experience in upgrading the ETL/OBIEE environment from Informatica 8.6 to 9.6 and OBIEE 10.3 to OBIEE 11.7
  • Experience with Siebel CRM systems and/or other application platforms
  • Experience with UNIX shell scripting
  • Excellent Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and ability to document requirements and create functional and technical specifications
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder who has lived in the US for 3 years or longer

Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience gathering requirements, designing, developing and documenting custom dashboards, reports, agents, actions, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience creating and modifying OBIEE reports
  • Knowledge of Siebel CRM
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database Administration

Other Requirements:

Must be a United States Citizen

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Minimum Education Bachelor Degree from an Accredited Institution is highly preferred
