Senior Systems Engineer with HSI experience

Responsible for leading the research, analysis, programming, or testing related to the design, development, integration, implementation, and quality assurance of software products, programs, and systems. Contribute to all aspects of the requirement definition and execution of activities for full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of the project including stage gates as required by the customer. Lead Human Systems Integration activities including user interviews, requirements development, prototype design/development, and human-in-the-loop testing.

Duties:

• Facilitate deployment of product/solution in support of customer requirements in the capacity of system engineer or technical architect
• Participate in and contribute to As-Is and To-Be system and process design and diagramming.
• Work with project leads (Development, Functional, Technical, Interface/Conversion) to ensure an integrated product and to confirm requirements.
• Work closely with team members to develop software designs that reflect an understanding of end-user workflow
• Collaborate with program/project managers to ensure human performance requirements are integrated into software products in a holistic manner
• Work with customer and other contractors to coordinate system rollout activities with cross-functional teams including IV&V and data centers.
• Coordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing
• Oversees all transitions into production
• Develops and completes actions in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines
• Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution
• Manages and documents system configurations
• Responsible for the supervision of lower level Systems Engineers

Professional Skills:

• Expert in Human Factors Engineering
• Department of Defense experience (Navy experience preferred)
• Agile experience required
• Major Automated Information Systems (MAIS) required
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
