Systems Engineer IV (New Orleans, LA)

Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.  Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge.  Directs and controls activities for customer, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.  Interactions involve customer negotiations and interfacing with senior management.  Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.  Supervise others.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Systems Engineer
• Coordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing
• Oversees all transitions into production
• Develops and completes actions in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines
• Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution
• Manages and documents system configurations
• Ensures system hardware and software are compatible and capable of required performance metrics
• Responsible for the supervision of lower level Systems Engineers

Requirements:

• Department of Defense experience (Navy experience preferred)
• Agile experience is required
• Experience with Gov Cloud a plus
• Major Automated Information Systems (MAIS) is required
• DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) a plus
• DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act for Systems Engineering is required
• DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act for Acquisition is a plus
• DoD Architecture Framework is required
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
